Dear Aunt B,

Dear Aunt B, I keep receiving emails and seeing social media posts about Guardian Angels. Some offer to connect me with mine. Are these for real? How can I connect? Will this help me when I feel alone?

Signed, Looking for my angel

Dear Looking, '

This is one of the questions I’m asked.

“How do I connect with my guardian angels, loved ones, or spirit guides? And how do I know when they’re near?”

Let me assure you: you are never alone. Since before birth, you’ve been surrounded by a sacred team—guardian angels, spirit guides, ancestors, archangels, saints, and Creator God.

Each plays a unique role, but there are no strict rules to this in the spirit world. Here’s a quick condenced look at a few spiritual helpers, from our book Many Woo Woo Words:

  • Angels – Messengers of God, protectors, and guides.

  • Guardian Angels – Often loved ones who’ve passed, appearing in times of need.

  • Listening Angels – Compassionate beings who hear your worries.

  • Earth Angels – People who help others in remarkable, often unexpected ways.

  • Spirit Guides – Ancestors, animals, or other souls offering guidance.

  • Ancestors – Relatives from both family lines, supporting you across generations.

  • Archangels – High-ranking, powerful angels like Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel.

  • Saints & Deities – Spiritual helpers across many traditions offering comfort and insight.

So, how do you connect?
Just ask. Speak to them—out loud or in your heart. Be honest. Then listen.

Signs may show up in dreams, repeating numbers, music, synchronicities, or simply a feeling of peace. Journaling can help you track these moments and build trust in your intuition.

You don’t have to wait until life gets hard to reach out. Your team is here for everything—the highs and lows, and all the in-between.

They’re not here to take over your path, but to walk beside you.

You are loved. You are guided. You are never alone.

With love,
Aunt B
